Intentional Dream Fulfillment.

15 September, 2015

Hi my dear friends!

So I was thinking about the Apple Store last night. And how it's actually kind of like a magical, enchanted land. Don't you think?! I mean, when you're walking past the store, you're a "passer by". But the moment you walk through those doors, bam, you're Apple Royalty. Actually, the moment you make eye contact with one of those blue shirted wizards, it's game on. Smiles are flowing and in an instant you are welcomed into their world. "How can we help you?"

I was in there on Saturday, and after confirming my details I was asked to wait for the technician. As I stood there waiting for my name to be called {...which took all of five minutes mind you... HELLO! Another "high five" for speedy customer service there Apple...} I took a moment. I looked around at hundreds of child-like adults, super excited and buzzing like bees all over the store. As I reviewed the excitement, the energy, I realised it's not just a store, it's a culture.

So how did this all get started? How did Steve Jobs' little tiny ideas and dreams become a worldwide phenomenon that has changed the way we do life today?

He was intentional, focused and he kept it simple.

"That's been one of my mantras - focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains." ~ Steve Jobs

You and I have been created with incredible creativity. Long before he breathed the stars, God crafted us with perfection and purpose. And when we are focused, we can actually do anything!

So how do we go from where we are now, to a place of focus where we are moving forward and seeing our dreams actually happen? Well, as I said in this blog a few weeks ago.. it's all about Baby Steps. So when I was in America a few months back I started writing down 3 simple things I could do each day that would move me closer to my dreams. The most important key to focus is to NOT be overwhelmed. Which is why we start small. :)

4 Simple ways to be Intentional about your Dreams

1. Write it down. At night write down three simple things you can do towards your dream the following day. Just three. Eg/ Go to the art store and buy supplies... Email Sally re auditioning... Apply for online course... Order business book to study... Set up business Pinterest page... Listen to inspiring podcast... Text that person and encourage them.

2. Make a plan. Mark in your schedule the times you will do these three things.

3. Tell someone for accountability. (It can be me if you like!) Knowing someone else knows and is cheering you on is such great inspiration.

4. Make sure you KEEP them simple! A rose doesn't flower the day you plant it. But as you water it a little each day eventually it will bloom. Completing your whole dream in one day is overwhelming. Hello, of course! But doing three little things is not. So just keep it simple.

I'm praying for you guys! I love this verse in Ephesians and often read it when I'm feeling unfocused and confused about how to move forward. So I'm praying for NEW focus and clarity for you this week. :)

"I ask the God of glory to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do!"
(Ephesians 1:4)

When you're focused, anything can happen. So what are the three things on your Intentional Dream Fulfillment list?

Have the best day!!!
